Body of 28-year-old Miss Myanmar found after catastrophic earthquake
Miss Tourism Myanmar 2018 Sili Mee dies at 28 after devastating earthquake in central Myanmar.
On April 3, Thairath reported that Miss Tourism Myanmar 2018 Sili Mee died in the devastating earthquake that occurred in Mandalay, Myanmar.
The earthquake had its epicenter south of Mandalay, causing severe damage and leaving thousands dead or injured. During the search and rescue efforts, emergency teams discovered the body of a woman wearing a white shirt, long pants, and holding a purse near the Sky Villa apartment complex, which had collapsed due to the earthquake.
After verification, the victim was identified as Miss Tourism Myanmar 2018. Her body has since been transported to Yangon for funeral arrangements.
The passing of Sili Mee has left an immense sorrow in the hearts of her friends and beauty pageant fans.
Sili Mee was 28 years old and held a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Meiktila University of Economics. In 2018, she represented Myanmar in the Miss Tourism World competition but did not place.
